Feel Amazing: Your 1-2-3 Kickstart

Fotolia_41803795_XSI’m not talking about new-year resolution stuff here but a simple three-step health and wellness strategy that can provide you with long lasting and immediate results, starting today.

Step 1: Health Boost

Focus on your weight, aim to find healthier choices with food and think about not sitting down quite so much.

You can quantify these changes by saying to yourself that you’ll reduce the number of cans of fizzy drink, chocolate bars etc. you eat each day/week and that you’ll modify your schedule for just 30 minutes by performing some physical exercise (walking, cycling, swimming, gardening, exercise routine etc.).

For this to work properly you need to have a basic plan broken down into ‘mini steps’ to keep track of your goal. It doesn’t need to be complex but it does need to be in place so you can focus on monitoring your progress and the increasing rewards that each day will bring.

What I’m saying here (and this applies to all goals, which should themselves be ‘stretched’) is that you need to focus more on the mini steps needed to reach those milestone goals, rather than just the end result itself. In this way, those goals will suddenly start to appear less daunting and more readily achievable.

Step 2: Self Esteem Boost

This may be challenging but to increase your self-esteem you firstly need to learn to ‘love yourself’. With that comes self-knowledge and awareness that your life has value and meaning in terms of who you are.

There are many books, courses and NLP materials out there and some of them are capable of providing truly outstanding results. A common theme running through many of them is getting you to visualize yourself feeling confident and happy. Then, having you track those daily changes, which helps with the mental reinforcement of the positive changes taking place. Don’t underestimate the power of the results attainable from some of the better programs out there.

Step 3: Give Back

Now that you’ve got an understanding of the need to ‘love yourself’ the third and final step is to then extend this further by providing a bit more love and compassion towards others.

Start by becoming more tolerant of others and take the time to interact with those who help you get through each day. Smile more often when interacting with them.

So there you have it – three quick and easy steps that are truly capable of changing your life forever. I said at the beginning that you can start today, so what are you waiting for?
